Renesanční dům Mikulov

The history of this house goes back to 16th century. Since then the building has changed its looks many times but the last one has given it the unforgettable atmosphere it has now. The house is a national cultural heritage and it is in one of the most beautiful and mysterious parts of Mikulov, the Jewish quarter.

How does it work here

This non flashy house has a beautiful accommodation for up to seven people. On the ground floor is a living room with seating and a television, fully equipped kitchen and dining area that can also be used to play games or have your morning cup of coffee. From the dining area you can walk to the lower terrace with seating and a grill. The interior is a gallery for artist Jiří Netík who had his pieces on display in the Notre-Dame cathedral in Paris. Prepare to be amazed.

Where will you sleep

Bedrooms are on the second floor. The first one has a large king size bed, the other sleeps three and has a bunk bed. Both bedrooms have access to the spacious terrace and a breathtaking view of the Mikulov chateau. Two additional guests can crash on the pull out couch in the living room. There also are two bathrooms, one with a shower corner and one with atypical bath tub.

What can you do there

Southern Moravia is synonymous with wine and you do not have to go far for it. The renaissance house has its own wine cellar so don’t hesitate and ask the owners for tasting. During the day, visit the town and specifically the chateau and its large gardens, take a walk to Svatý kopeček and see the amazing Mikulov vistas. One of the top things to do here should be a bike ride to Pálava.
